Weapon and Loadout Tips
Stealth Master throws a lot of weapons at you, and not all of them are worth your currency. Here is how to think about loadout choices and upgrades.

1Upgrade in tier jumps, not side-grades

The biggest currency mistake is buying every weapon in your current tier. Same-tier weapons are essentially side-grades: slight stat differences, similar feel, no real change to which levels you can clear. Save until you can afford the next tier instead. A single tier jump usually trivializes a chunk of stages you previously found awkward.

Hint

If a weapon is described as a re-skin of one you already have, it almost certainly is a side-grade. Skip it.

2Silent weapons over flashy ones

A noisy weapon that one-shots a guard is worth less than a silent weapon that does the same. Noise pulls nearby guards into alert and ruins your rating. Prioritize weapons that are explicitly silent, or whose noise radius is small enough that the next guard cannot hear them. The clean rating bonus pays better over time than the raw damage difference.

3Range matters more than damage

Most guards die to one well-placed strike anyway, so raw damage past a certain point is wasted. Range, on the other hand, lets you remove a guard before stepping into their vision cone. Whenever you have to choose between a higher-damage weapon and a higher-range one, pick range. The levels you actually fail are the ones where you got too close, not the ones where you needed more damage.

4Match the loadout to the level

Some levels reward thrown weapons with long sightlines; some are tight corridors that reward a fast melee weapon. Before each stage, glance at the map: if it is open with long lines of sight, equip your longest-range silent option. If it is a narrow building interior, a fast silent melee weapon is usually better. Re-spec is cheap; using the wrong tool is what makes a level feel unfair.

Common mistakes
  • Buying every weapon in your current tier instead of saving for a tier jump.
  • Choosing high-damage noisy weapons over silent lower-damage ones.
  • Picking a melee loadout for an open-sightline map.
  • Spending hard currency on cosmetic skins early.
  • Replaying the same losing level over and over instead of farming a clean clear on an easier one.
Best practices
  • Save currency for the next tier of weapons, not for same-tier swaps.
  • Prefer silent and longer-range weapons over noisy high-damage ones.
  • Match the loadout to the layout before each stage.
  • Farm clean completions on easier levels for steady currency.
  • Treat detection-free clears as the real goal, not raw level progression.
Summary

Spend currency on real tier jumps, prefer silent and longer-range weapons, match the loadout to the level layout, and let clean stealth clears do the income work.
