Nexomon Beginner Battle Guide

A useful start in the original Nexomon is a team whose moves and resources you understand. This guide organizes the first sessions around battle reading, capture preparation and recovery. It avoids compulsory spending, rigid level targets and mechanics borrowed from Nexomon: Extinction.

Original Nexomon on iOS, checked October 12, 2026: version 4.0.0. This is not Nexomon: Extinction. Console and PC material is used for shared game concepts, not mobile purchase or save instructions.

1. Begin with the original-game information

Check the title on the store and the installed app before opening a walkthrough. The original campaign has seven starter choices and an adventure through ten regions in the mobile description. Extinction advice may use different items or elemental rules. Choose one opening companion, inspect its moves and learn how a normal battle works before trying to optimize every later roster slot from an unrelated guide.

2. Read a move before making it your default

Look at the information your build provides: effect, cost and any accuracy or status description shown. A community guide for the original game recommends keeping a mix of move purposes instead of only high-cost attacks. Use that as a reason to compare your own options, not a mandatory named moveset. An attack that finishes a small threat and one that handles a difficult opponent can have different roles.

3. Use the turn to decide what matters now

The official original-game announcement describes turn-based battles. Before acting, decide whether you are trying to defeat the opponent, preserve a capture target or keep the team ready for another encounter. Those goals can require different choices. If a fight goes badly, identify the decision that caused trouble rather than immediately replacing the entire team. A readable decision gives the next encounter a specific lesson to test.

4. Broaden the team with a purpose

The original-game publisher emphasizes elemental advantage and building a team from captures. Choose additional companions because they provide an option you can explain, rather than collect several similar ones and expect variety from their appearance alone. Inspect their actual moves as well as their creature type. Exact type multipliers and a universal best roster are not established by the sources here; current in-game information should guide a concrete matchup.

5. Prepare before pursuing a capture

Check your trap supply and the condition of the team before making a capture your next goal. The official recommendation is to weaken wild Nexomon, so distinguish that goal from finishing a battle as quickly as possible. A short supply check is more useful than finding an appealing target and realizing you are unable to attempt capture. Avoid spending additional resources without considering whether you can sustain the encounter.

6. Keep a recovery plan while exploring

A historical mobile review describes town shops and healing facilities. Treat those as useful places to check on your route, while reading the current prices and options rather than copying its 2017 balance complaints. Notice how far you have traveled and which team members remain ready. Returning to a known service can be a sensible learning choice when the next fight would depend on depleted resources or an unfamiliar item.

7. Train a new capture before assuming it solves a problem

The mobile game includes training and evolution. A creature that offers a useful type or move may still need development before it performs the role you want. Compare its current information with the opponent that caused trouble and aim for an understandable improvement. Do not convert this into a rigid instruction to keep every companion at an identical level or reach an arbitrary level before each region.

8. Review progress before using the shop or changing devices

First separate a battle problem from a purchase or save problem. Read a mobile shop product by its stated purpose instead of assuming paid items are necessary for the campaign. For device changes, verify the advertised iCloud support in your actual setup and preserve the current save. Version 4.0.0 removes Game Center login; that change should not be confused with a promise that all cloud or purchase-account requirements disappeared.

Key points

Learn the original battle rules, broaden the team deliberately and prepare traps before searching. Use current move descriptions and recovery options; fixed levels, compulsory purchases and sequel mechanics are not a starting plan.
