Q What do you actually do
You inherit a run down logging camp from an aunt and uncle and rebuild it into a business. The base loop is felling timber and hauling it to the mill, where it becomes logs, planks, bark and other wooden products that you then sell.
Around that sits a quest driven storyline, a skill system that makes you more efficient, and a dynamic economy where product prices vary. So the money is not a fixed reward per tree; what you produce and when you sell it both matter.
Q Is it forestry or life simulation
Both, and the balance is up to you. The developers describe two valid playstyles explicitly: become a straightforward professional lumberjack by buying, cutting and converting large forests, or explore the full range of activities.
| Side of the game | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Business | Logging, milling, product prices, vehicles, buildings |
| Homestead | Repairing and renovating your buildings and vehicles |
| Hobbies | Fishing, vegetables, fruit, honey, cooking |
| Social | Socialise with locals, earn social points, find a partner, raise a family |
The family and hobby content is real content, not decoration. If you want a pure machinery simulator, this game has more life sim in it than the title suggests. If you want the life sim, it is genuinely there.
Q Requirements, and the broadband line
| Item | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 7, 8 or 10, 64-bit | Windows 10 or 11 |
| CPU | Core 2 Duo or AMD X2, 2.2 GHz | Intel i5 or AMD X4, 2.8 GHz |
| Memory | 4 GB | 8 GB |
| Graphics | 1.5 GB VRAM, GTX 500 or HD 7000 class | 2 GB VRAM, GTX 900 or R9 300 class |
| Storage | 12 GB | 12 GB |
These are modest by any modern standard. One entry is unusual though: a broadband internet connection is listed in both the minimum and the recommended requirements, even though the store lists the game as single-player with no multiplayer features. Worth noting if you were planning to play offline.
Q Are the vehicles real ones
Yes. The developers state that licensed vehicles from major manufacturers are available to purchase, use, maintain and repair.
That matters for the type of player this suits. Licensed machinery signals a simulation audience, and it means the vehicle side is treated as a subject in its own right rather than as a movement upgrade. Maintenance and repair being listed alongside purchase says the same thing.
Q Languages, controller and extras
Thirteen interface languages are listed, including Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Dutch and Polish. English and German carry full voice acting, the other languages are text.
Controller support is full, and Steam Trading Cards are supported. One piece of downloadable content is published alongside the base game. Released on 25 February 2021 by UMEO Studios, published by Toplitz Productions, and it is Windows only.
A USD 3.99 forestry and life simulation for Windows from UMEO Studios and Toplitz, released in 2021. You rebuild an inherited logging camp, mill timber into products, and sell into an economy where prices vary. Alongside the business there is a genuine life sim layer of fishing, cooking, renovation and family. Requirements are modest, but note that a broadband connection is listed even though the game is single-player.
