Shelldiver is one of the rare games where most players who start it go on to earn every achievement. The list is short, nothing can be locked out, and all of it follows from simply playing and upgrading. Names and descriptions below come from the official Steam achievement list. Two achievements hide their descriptions on Steam, and for those the conditions come from a community achievement guide.

2 The four depth achievements
Depth unlocks at 100, 400, 700 and 1000 meters. None of them needs a special route. They are gated by equipment, so each one arrives once your submarine and oxygen upgrades can take you that far and bring you back.
3 The four Shells milestones
Shells are the currency, and the milestones jump by a factor of a thousand each time: a million, a billion, a trillion and a quadrillion. That looks daunting written out, but it is the nature of an incremental game. Income multiplies as you upgrade, so the gap between the last two milestones closes far faster than the numbers suggest.
4 Ultra Special Rainbow Jellyfish
The only achievement tied to a single rare creature. The official description simply says to capture a rainbow jellyfish. A community achievement guide adds that it appears rarely in the deep ocean, in the bioluminescent regions usually beyond about 600 meters. That location is a player report rather than an official statement, but it fits the pattern that the most valuable jellyfish live deepest.
5 Island achievements and the hidden two
Three achievements have nothing to do with how good your dives are, which is exactly why they get overlooked.
| Achievement | What to do |
|---|---|
| Make a Friend! | On the island, wave to another turtle. You can do this at any time. |
| Hammock Sleep | Hidden on Steam. The community guide describes finding a hammock and resting in it after a long day of diving. |
| Built to Dive | Hidden on Steam. The community guide describes it as maxing out every skill to its full level. |
Built to Dive is effectively the end of the game. A community answer on the Steam forums notes that the question mark nodes in the tree must all be unlocked before the final upgrade becomes available, so buy those rather than skipping them.
6 Cleared Island
The completion achievement unlocks once every other one is earned. If it has not appeared after you finish the skill tree, check the two island achievements and the rainbow jellyfish first, since they are the only ones that do not follow automatically from upgrading and diving deeper.
7 A sensible order
Wave to a turtle for Make a Friend!, then look around the island for the hammock.
100m and 400m depth, First 1M and First 1B come naturally.
Push to 700m, watch for the rainbow jellyfish in deep water, and reach First 1T.
1000m, First 1Q and every skill maxed for Built to Dive, which completes Cleared Island.
Shelldiver has 13 achievements, none missable, and about four hours is enough for all of them. Four come from depth at 100, 400, 700 and 1000 meters, and four from Shells at a million, a billion, a trillion and a quadrillion. Players report the rainbow jellyfish in deep bioluminescent water beyond about 600 meters. Wave to a turtle and find the hammock on the island, unlock every question mark node on the way to maxing the skill tree for Built to Dive, and Cleared Island follows.
