Denshattack! hides a lot in its stages, and the achievement list is the clearest record of what there is to find. This page explains each collectible type and groups every achievement by the goal it belongs to. Names and conditions are from the official Steam list, and what collectibles are used for comes from Steam Deck HQ and GamingOnLinux.

1 The five collectible types

CollectibleWhat it is for / achievements
Spray CansSpent in the shop, per GamingOnLinux. See it, Spray it, Sorted (first) / Jet Setter (all)
Film RollsPicture Aficionado (first) / Total Toritetsu (all)
GearsHappy New Gear (first) / All Geared Up (all)
(EN)ZinesMagazine content with pictures and captions, per Steam Deck HQ. Stan Era Incoming (first) / Fandom Royalty (all)
OnsensHot springs to visit. Time to relax (first) / Sento Master (all)

Steam Deck HQ describes collectibles in general as a source of in game currency for stickers and trains, and says some unlock the magazine content. Toritetsu, in the Film Roll achievement name, is the Japanese term for train photography enthusiasts, which fits a collectible about pictures.

2 The shop: trains and stickers

The shop sells trains and sets of stickers. Trains are more than cosmetic: Steam Deck HQ describes each with positive and negative effects, and GamingOnLinux mentions upgrades alongside customisation. Stickers and colour schemes change how your train looks.

Trains
A First of Many for the first purchase, True Densha Collector for buying all of them. Compare perks before buying.
Stickers
Glow Up! for the first set, Full Set for buying all of them. Purely for style.
✓
Trains before stickers Since trains change how you play and stickers do not, spend early currency on a train whose perks help the stages you find hardest, then buy cosmetics later.

3
Gold, races and dares
Finish with the mastery goals once you know every route.
Summary

Denshattack! has five collectible types, Spray Cans, Film Rolls, Gears, Zines and Onsens, each with a first and an all achievement. Collectibles fund the shop, where trains change your perks and stickers change your look, so buy trains first. Nine chapter achievements track the story, with a separate one for defeating Morzilla. Skill achievements cover chains, combos, clean runs, race wins and derails, and completion means every gold medal, every race and every dare.
