Start with the current story route and a battle you can understand, rather than trying to reproduce a decades-old completion schedule. This guide focuses on fragments, ordinary combat, party roles and the transition into vocations, with the opening demo kept separate from later systems.
- Follow the current vignette and fragment route
- Use the opening demo as a contained learning session
- Distinguish field convenience from battle strategy
- Make each party role understandable
- Read tactics separately from the speed setting
- Wait for the actual vocation unlocks
- Keep rewards and optional arena content in scope
- Use the current gate requirement instead of an old bypass
1. Follow the current vignette and fragment route
Stone fragments open portals to eras where the party solves problems that restore islands in the present. Keep track of the current location, era and objective when an island seems missing. The story is streamlined in Reimagined, so an old sequence is not enough to identify a current blocker. This is an organizational suggestion grounded in the documented story loop, not a complete fragment checklist. Check the current dialogue and objective before assuming that every original-edition detour is required.

2. Use the opening demo as a contained learning session
The demo ends after Ballymolloy and caps several progression values. Within that scope, learn the menus and battle presentation before planning a full-game build. Keep the same account and system if you intend to continue the save after purchase. The official notice does not give every cap value, so reaching a demo limit should not trigger an invented farming target. Treat it as the boundary of the sample adventure and retain the save you want to continue.

3. Distinguish field convenience from battle strategy
A field strike can instantly defeat a weaker monster, while stronger encounters still require combat. Watch which case occurs before assuming all monsters can be removed without a battle. For ordinary fights, the game offers adjustable speed and auto-battle tactics. These conveniences support a smoother route, but they do not explain the effectiveness of every move or replace reading the current party actions. Keep a deliberate pace when an unfamiliar opponent makes the result difficult to interpret.

4. Make each party role understandable
The vocation system supplies different skills, spells and perks. Before changing several characters, identify what the group needs: an action against the enemy or support for an ally. This is a planning method rather than a universal ranked party. The new dual-vocation feature expands the choices later, but a larger command list does not automatically make the party coherent. Pick actions whose role you can explain and compare the result before treating an unfamiliar combination as a permanent solution.

5. Read tactics separately from the speed setting
Auto-battle behavior depends on the selected tactics for the protagonist and allies. Battle speed controls pace, while tactics affect the automatic choices. If a battle goes poorly, identify which automatic action happened before changing both settings. Returning to deliberate choices can make an unfamiliar fight easier to understand. The developer overview confirms these tools but does not guarantee that one tactic wins every boss or that speed adjustment changes the underlying strength of the party.

6. Wait for the actual vocation unlocks
Vocation changes and Moonlighting arrive at different points in the story. Do not stop the opening adventure searching for a second vocation option that is not yet unlocked. When the current game introduces the system, read the assigned skills and perks before pursuing a complex combination. The developer explanation supports the order of access, not a fixed number of hours for every player. Optional exploration and individual pace can make another playthrough a poor timing benchmark.

7. Keep rewards and optional arena content in scope
The demo costume is claimed in the full game, while optional arena DLC requires the arena to be unlocked. Read Claim Special Rewards for owned costumes and items rather than looking for every reward inside the demo. The launch early-purchase deadline is already past. Treat the main adventure as the starting scope, then check optional content when its requirements are met. This avoids confusing an unowned add-on or dated offer with a missing core-game ability.

8. Use the current gate requirement instead of an old bypass
The April update prevents entering two areas without their required items. If an old clip crosses the Past Hubble checkpoint or enters the Labyrinth of Wind without the relevant condition, it may show the corrected bug. Follow the current requirement rather than trying to recreate that route. Record the region, era and missing item prompt when investigating a blocker. The patch does not establish a full walkthrough or identify one universal fix for every progression problem.

| Starting observation | What it helps distinguish |
|---|---|
| Location and era | Story route rather than an old checklist |
| Registered action and tactic | Battle choice rather than speed alone |
| Locked vocation or arena option | Story access versus owned optional content |
Before a retry, name the problem: story gate, command choice, party role or content access. Change the part that addresses it.
