Q1. What kind of game is Idle Lumberjack 2?
A. An idle chopping game with very light controls. Your lumberjack automatically swings their axe whenever a tree is in reach; your only input is movement (up and down a single section). The loop is chop, sell, upgrade, repeat.
Q2. How do I move?
A. Tap or drag up and down. You travel one side of a section, then the other. There is no left or right input. The simplicity is the point; the depth comes from upgrade pacing.
Q3. What should I upgrade first?
A. Axe damage. More damage means each tree falls in fewer swings, which directly multiplies your wood per minute. Movement speed is the next bottleneck once damage is comfortable; carrying capacity third.
Q4. What are the golden trees?
A. Special trees that drop bonuses (gems, multipliers, or coin rushes) when chopped. They appear randomly across sections. Always go out of your way for them if they are visible; the bonus is worth the detour.
Q5. Why are the later trees so much tougher?
A. Tree HP scales with section depth. The further into the forest you go, the longer each tree takes to fell. That is normal: it pushes you to upgrade damage and keep moving forward rather than grinding one easy section.
Q6. Should I let the game run while my phone is off?
A. Idle games typically reward offline progress with a capped accumulation. Idle Lumberjack 2 follows that pattern, so a few hours away while you sleep or work translates into a comfortable cash bump on return.
Q7. Is there real-money pressure?
A. There are optional ads-for-bonus offers and some in-app purchases for accelerators. None are required to progress; the game is fully playable for free with patience.
Q8. What platforms is it on?
A. iOS and Android, free to download with optional ads.
