1 What kind of game is it
A cooperative horde shooter. You team up in a four player squad to send the Sludge God and its undead horde back to hell, using guns, grenades and what the store calls devastating powers while thousands of infected pour toward you in waves.
Saber Interactive develops and Focus Entertainment publishes. The John Carpenter name in the title is doing exactly what you would expect: the tone is practical horror action rather than psychological dread.
2 Can you play it alone
Single player is listed alongside multiplayer, co-op, online co-op and cross platform multiplayer, so playing solo is supported.
The design is unmistakably built for four, though. The store describes reviving fallen teammates, sharing ammunition and covering each other, and states outright that when infected swarm from every angle, teamwork is not optional. A broadband connection also appears in both requirement tiers.
3 What the Swarm Engine means
Saber names the technology directly, and names its pedigree: the Swarm Engine, previously used in World War Z and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The store puts it plainly, the horde never stops.
4 Vehicles and the maps
Maps are described as semi-open with vehicles scattered across them. Each ride is said to feel unique: some carry serious firepower or special abilities, others come with practical tools such as winches.
That variety is the reason vehicles are more than transport. A winch is a puzzle solving tool, a gun platform is a weapon, and both are answers to problems that shooting alone does not solve. Finding what fits your squad is presented as part of the loop.
5 The Blood Edition and the Bloody Pass
The Bloody Pass contains a cosmetic pack and the first two DLCs released after launch. The cosmetics amount to 30 skins for characters, vehicles and weapons, including weapon colours, outfits, vehicle skins and horn sounds.
Note what that description does and does not promise. The cosmetics are specified; the two DLCs are not described at all, because they had not been detailed when the page was written. Buying the pass is a bet on unannounced content.
6 Price, platform and languages

| Developer and publisher | Saber Interactive, published by Focus Entertainment |
| Achievements | 56, plus Steam Trading Cards |
| Languages | Sixteen for text, with full audio in English |
Cross platform multiplayer is listed, which matters for a co-op game because it widens the pool of people you can play with.
7 System requirements
Both tiers ask for 16 GB of memory, 58 GB of storage, a broadband connection and, stated explicitly, an SSD.
The minimum names a Ryzen 5 1500X or Core i5-8400 with an RX 580 or GTX 1070. The recommended tier moves to a Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i5-11600K with an RX 6800 XT or RTX 3060 Ti. Given the engine is built around rendering enormous numbers of enemies, treat the recommended tier as the one that matters if you care about frame rate during a swarm.
8 Accessibility options
Adjustable text size, camera comfort, subtitle options, custom volume controls and adjustable difficulty are all listed, alongside full controller support with DualShock and DualSense.
Camera comfort is worth calling out for a game about being surrounded by thousands of moving objects, and adjustable difficulty means a squad of mixed ability can still play together.
A four player cooperative horde shooter from Saber Interactive, built on the Swarm Engine used by World War Z and Space Marine 2, so enemies arrive in thousands rather than dozens. Semi-open maps carry vehicles with distinct firepower, abilities or tools such as winches. Solo is supported but the design is for a squad, and broadband is required either way. USD 39.99, 56 achievements, sixteen languages, cross platform play, and both requirement tiers ask for 16 GB of memory and an SSD.
