1 What is YAPYAP
Maison Bap describes it as a magic themed co-op horror game in which you and your friends are minions summoned by a wizard, sent to break into a rival archmage tower and cause mayhem.
You have a vandalism target to fulfil each night, an assortment of spells to work with, and a tower full of magical beasts and monsters trying to stop you.
The tone is comedy first and horror second. The listed activities include breaking a piano, clogging toilets and urinating on a rug, which sets expectations more clearly than any genre label.
2 You cast spells with your voice
This is the feature that decides whether the game is for you, so it belongs near the top rather than buried.
The comedy of the design is obvious once you see it. A horror game in which panic makes you literally unable to pronounce your escape spell is a very direct way to turn fear into a mechanic.
3 How many players
The description says you and up to five friends, which makes six the maximum. Single player, multiplayer, co-op and online co-op are all listed on the store page.
Solo is therefore possible, but a game whose spells include cloning, disguising and confusing, and whose fiction is about a crew of minions, is written for a group. A broadband connection appears in the requirements.
4 What the objective is
Every inconvenience you create gives you points toward a vandalism target for the night. You are not clearing a level or defeating a boss, you are accumulating damage to somebody property.
The listed spell verbs give a good sense of the toolkit: push, pull, smash, launch, float, teleport, clone, confuse, disguise and fishify. The developer calls the result a sandbox of chaos created with your teammates.
5 How scary is it
The developer declares no content descriptors, which for a horror game is a signal in itself. The threats are described as creatures patrolling the halls, some built to protect the study, others the results of magical experiments, and some unknown even to the archmage.
The advised responses are to stay quiet, cause distractions, hide, and when all else fails, run. That is hiding horror rather than fighting horror, and combined with the comic vandalism it suggests tension rather than dread.
6 Price, languages and achievements

No achievements at all is unusual and worth knowing if that is part of how you choose games. No in-app purchases are listed either.
7 System requirements
The minimum is Windows 10, a Core i5 6600, 8 GB of memory, a GTX 970, DirectX 10, a broadband connection and only 2 GB of storage.
No recommended tier is listed. Two gigabytes for a multiplayer game with several tower environments suggests a compact, stylised production rather than a technical showcase.
8 Who this suits
| Good fit if | Poor fit if |
|---|---|
| You have a group who will happily shout incantations | You cannot or would rather not use a microphone |
| You enjoy sandbox mischief over combat | You want serious horror |
| You want a cheap game for a group evening | You play mostly alone |
A co-op horror comedy for up to six players, in which minions break into a rival wizard tower to vandalise it and hit a nightly points target. Spells are cast by speaking them aloud, with enunciation mattering and a steady voice required under pressure, so plan on a microphone. Creatures patrol the halls and the advice is to hide, distract and run rather than fight. USD 9.99, thirteen languages, no achievements listed, no in-app purchases, and only 2 GB of storage.
