How Many Dudes? has one of the longer achievement lists in its genre, and it is a good guide to the depth of the game. Many entries are really build challenges in disguise. Names and conditions here come from the official Steam achievement list, and background on tiers and stars comes from the store page and reviews at Sirus Gaming and Life Meets Pixel.
1 Stars and what they unlock
The store says that defeating bosses earns silver and gold stars for each dude, and invites you to master them all. Sirus Gaming adds that gold stars unlock poster slots used in Ensemble Mode, where you pick your team in advance. Stars are therefore both a trophy and a tool for building the exact team you want later.
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Silver Star Dude | Win a Silver Star boss fight |
| Dude Master | All Gold Stars for one dude and his relics |
| Dude Dabbler | A Gold Star for at least one type in each family |
| Family Dude | Gold Stars for all dudes and relics in a family |
| Universal Dude | Gold Stars for every Universal Relic |
2 Tier bosses
Three tiers of challenge each add unique enemies and bosses. The achievement list names the milestone fights.
Defeating it earns a Gold Star in Tier 1. G.O.A.T. Crusher asks you to beat it and all its minions in under 15 seconds.
Defeating it earns a Gold Star in Tier 2 and the Freight Train achievement.
Cosmic Forces is awarded for winning the final boss battle in Tier 3.
Sirus Gaming notes that only three bosses are truly unique and the others are stronger versions of normal enemies, which matches this list. It also reports that dude types unlock in higher tiers only after lower tiers are cleared, so the tiers are best taken in order.
3 Single family wins
Six achievements ask you to win a run with a team made entirely of one family. Each forces you to find that family answer to healing, protection and damage.
| Family | Achievement |
|---|---|
| Undead | Merely a Setback |
| Sci-Fi | Warp Speed |
| Employed | Workin' 9 to 5 |
| Action | Plot Armor |
| Fantasy | Fellowship of the Dudes |
| Warrior | Warmonger |
The opposite goal exists too. Sensitivity Training asks for a win using dudes from five different families plus a relic from the Smuggler Dude.
4 The four set teams
Four achievements name an exact five dude team to win with. Ensemble Mode, which lets you pre-select types, is the natural place to attempt them once the types are unlocked.
5 Discovery and collection
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
| I'm Every Dude | Discover every dude type |
| Trinket Tinkerer | Discover every trinket |
| I've Seen Things / I've Seen Too Much | Discover 20 collectibles / every collectible |
| Dude of the Day | Win a Daily Dude run |
| Safe Space | Give therapy to dudes in 3 different runs |
6 Stat and battle thresholds
Most of the remaining achievements set a number to hit within a single battle. Grouping them by stat makes it easier to see which build earns several at once.
| Build focus | Thresholds in the list |
|---|---|
| Critical hits | 67% Crit Chance, 1,500% Crit Damage |
| Defence | 70% Evasion, 5,000 Temporary Health on one dude, 1,000 Max HP, 3,000,000 damage prevented |
| Sustain | 15% Regeneration, 100 Saves without losing, 10,000,000 HP lifesteal overall |
| Damage | 3,000 average DPS for one type, 1,000% Cleave, 15 Attack Speed |
| Undead | 300 Skeledudes in a battle, 10 Revenant stacks, 300,000 Curse of Doom damage |
| Scale | 100 Crabs in a battle, 50,000 Toddlers overall, a dude 1,000 centimetres tall |
7 Restriction runs
How Many Dudes? has 69 achievements. Silver and gold stars from boss fights track mastery and unlock Ensemble Mode slots, with the G.O.A.T. in Tier 1, the Killipede in Tier 2 and a final boss in Tier 3. Six achievements ask for single family wins and four for exact five dude teams, which suit Ensemble Mode. The rest cover discovering every type, trinket and collectible, reaching stat thresholds in one battle, and restriction runs without Dude Juice, consumables or Regular Dude training.
