The job is only half of Ship, Inc. After your shift you manage money, decide how honest to be, and fill time with small distractions, and the achievement list tracks all of it. This page explains the after hours side and groups the official Steam achievement list by goal. Nine achievements hide their descriptions; they are listed by name only. Town details come from reviews at The Geekly Grind and Joystick Diaries.
1 Bills, bank and the house
Joystick Diaries describes paying rent and bills at the bank, and The Geekly Grind reports that three unpaid bills end the game. Savings in the bank earn interest. The Geekly Grind describes a goal of saving 100,000 for a home, and the achievement The End? is for buying the house.
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
| This is not financial advice | Earn bank interest for the first time |
| Maybe it actually is financial advice? | Earn interest for 10 days |
| The Investor | Earn interest for 30 days |
| Punctual | Miss no payments for 15 days |
| The End? | Buy the house |
2 Upgrades and companies
The store describes earning money to improve your workspace, increase storage and unlock better tools. Joystick Diaries adds passive perks from the law office. The achievement list also tracks companies you ship for: Global Partner for unlocking all of them, and Top of the Supply Chain for maxing every company level. Fully Stocked is for buying every upgrade.
3 Honesty or side income
Reviews describe a moral thread. Emmanessy mentions choosing whether to steal from work for extra money or report suspicious packages to the police, and Joystick Diaries describes a shady character in an alley offering another route for items. The achievement list tracks the selling side: Well; Nobody Was Using It for one stolen item sold, Side Hustle for 10 and King of the Streets for 25.
4 Minigames and small pleasures
| Activity | Achievements |
|---|---|
| Bubble pop game | ASMR (1), The Bubble Popper (10), The Actual Game (25) |
| Vending machine drinks | I'm Thirsty (1), Regular (10), Getting Hyper (25) |
| Cleaning items | Am I getting paid for this? (1), I am getting paid for this. (10), Second Job (50), I like this job more (100) |
Emmanessy describes the bubble popping as an ASMR style break, and it is also listed at a minigame booth in town by The Geekly Grind.
5 Work milestones
Clocked In (day 1), Seasoned Sorter (day 10), Logistics Veteran (month 1), Warehouse Warden (month 3).
Rookie Dispatcher (10), Apprentice Packer (50), Prime Specialist (100), Master of the Cardboard Boxes (500).
Beep Beep (first truck), The Technician (first repair), It Just Hit Me (buy a supply while working).
6 Hidden achievements
Nine achievements have no description on Steam: Sponsored, Meet Limon, Local Head, Found Him, No Stonks, Return to Sender, Leave the tree alone!, Oh that's what it means! and Admiral of Trucks. Their names suggest events and discoveries, and Emmanessy mentions a cat that gets in the way while you work, but none of our sources explain the conditions, so the safest approach is to explore town and interact with anything unusual.
After work in Ship, Inc. you pay bills at the bank, earn interest on savings and work toward buying the house, while three unpaid bills end the game. Upgrades, law office perks, companies and trophies track progress. Selling stolen items has its own achievements, though reviewers saw little consequence either way. Bubble popping, vending machine drinks and cleaning items each have ladders, work milestones run to three months and 500 correct orders, and nine hidden achievements reward exploring town.
