Invincible VS Roster, Modes and Achievements
The 18 launch fighters and their team achievements, the four arcade ladders, player levels and character mastery, and a plan for all 46 achievements.

This page is the reference half of the guide. The roster comes from The Koalition review, the DLC plans from Wikipedia and The Koalition, and every achievement name and condition from the official Steam list, where all 46 are visible. Mechanics such as tags and sudden death are explained on the beginner guide.

1 The launch roster

Where they appear in achievementsFighters
Teen TeamupRobot, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Dupli-Kate
For The EmpireOmni-Man, Thula, Lucan, Anissa, Conquest
Guarding The GlobeCecil, Robot, Monster Girl
Rest of the rosterInvincible, Bulletproof, Titan, Ella Mental, Allen the Alien, Battle Beast, Powerplex

The table groups fighters by the achievements that name them, not by any in-game category, so Robot appears twice. Four DLC fighters are planned: Universa and The Immortal are named by both Wikipedia and The Koalition, and Wikipedia also lists Angstrom Levy. The store lists 15 add-on items in total, which include more than characters.

2 Team achievements

AchievementCondition
Third WheelPlay a match with Invincible, Atom Eve and Rex Splode
For The EmpirePlay a match with Omni-Man, Thula, Lucan, Anissa or Conquest on your team
Teen TeamupPlay a match with Robot, Atom Eve, Rex Splode or Dupli-Kate on your team
Guarding The GlobePlay a match with Cecil, Robot and Monster Girl
Still Think I’m Adorable?Defeat Rex Splode as Monster Girl
What Will You Have in 500 Years?Land Omni-Man’s Ground Pound to defeat Invincible
Killing InsectsWith Battle Beast on your team, defeat a team with Robot, Monster Girl and Invincible

The ones that need a specific opponent team, such as Killing Insects, are easiest against the CPU in arcade or with a friend in local versus, where you control the matchup.

3 Arcade ladders and endings

In arcade you pick a team and tackle a ladder chosen by difficulty, and reviewers compare it to the tower structure of Mortal Kombat. The achievement list names four ladders and ties endings to your team captain.

Quick
The Great Purge. The shortest climb and a good first test.
Standard
The Climb.
Guardian
Now We Look Like A Team.
Invincible
Invincible War.

Arcade endings unlock per character: Donald’s Database for 9 and Lore Master for all 18. Since the ending belongs to the captain, rotate who leads your team each run.

4 Levels and character mastery

TrackAchievements
Player levelThis Is Good News (5), What’s Seventeen More Years? (10), Do What We Were Meant To Do (25), Be Who We Were Meant To Be (50)
Character mastery level 20Art’s Working Overtime (1 character), Half Measure (9), Full Measure (all 18)
Full Measure is the long one
Mastery level 20 on every fighter means real time with all 18. Pair it with the Overkill goals, which also need 9 and then 18 different characters, so each character session counts twice.

5 All achievements by group

GroupCountContents
Techniques16Active Tags, Counter Tags, Assist Breakers and Heroic Strikes at 5, 50 and 100; Arena Shift; three Overkill goals
Teams and matchups7The team achievements in section 2
Modes9Tutorial, story on Normal and on Hard, four ladders, 9 and 18 endings
Progression7Four player levels, three mastery goals
Other7Update your player card, 5 online matches, 1 hour of practice, watch a replay, win in sudden death, bleed out in sudden death, finish with a taunt

Did We Win? requires finishing story mode on Hard or higher, and A Grand Experiment on Normal or higher, so a single Hard run should cover both. Keep The Change! asks you to finish an opponent with a taunt, which is best attempted against the CPU.

6 An efficient order

1
Tutorial, practice and story on Hard
Covers four achievements early and teaches the systems.
2
Arcade with rotating captains
Clear the ladders, collect endings and set up the team matchups.
3
Long tail online and in mastery
Technique counts, player level 50 and Full Measure build up over time.
Summary

Invincible VS launched with 18 fighters, and four DLC characters are planned. Seven achievements reward themed teams and specific matchups, four cover arcade ladders from Quick to Invincible, and endings unlock per team captain. Player levels run to 50 and character mastery to level 20 on all 18 fighters. All 46 achievements are visible, and the most efficient route is tutorial and a Hard story run first, arcade with rotating captains next, and technique counts and mastery over time.
