Farever FAQ: Early Access, Co-op & Call to Glory

Farever combines open-world exploration with configurable character builds and group dungeon challenges. Call to Glory changes both the social tools and endgame rewards. This FAQ explains the current scope, separates released changes from scheduled additions, and identifies the difference between ordinary exploration, Veteran and Heroic encounters.

Early Access: systems and balance can change. This guide uses the released Call to Glory update and corrections through October 7, 2026. The October 14 dungeon pair is scheduled; a release notice for it was not verified at this source check.

1. Is Farever a finished game?

The current Steam genres include Early Access. Treat the available game as an evolving release rather than a promise that every roadmap feature has arrived. The store describes exploration in Siagarta, classes, weapon skills and crafting professions. Call to Glory is a released major update, but its later dungeon schedule is a separate piece of information. A purchase gives access to the current game; an announcement for a future addition should not be read as a feature already available today.

2. Can I explore alone or with other players?

The store presents solo exploration and adventures with allies. Group support is more specific in the Call to Glory material: friend and ignore lists, party invitations, compass markers and reviving a fallen teammate. These tools help a group coordinate without requiring every player to remain in the same spot. They do not establish that every difficulty is equally manageable with every party composition. Check the selected instance and the abilities your group actually has before copying an endgame route.

3. What is the difference between Veteran and Heroic?

Hard Mode was renamed Veteran. Heroic builds on the maximum Veteran difficulty while changing mechanics, attack patterns and sometimes phases. It is not simply a larger health bar or a guarantee that the same safe position still works. The developer illustrates this with Crabgantua, where wandering bubbles and an additional crab complicate the existing encounter. Read current telegraphs and arena hazards when entering Heroic instead of assuming familiarity with the original fight removes the need to learn its changes.

4. Which later Heroic dungeons are confirmed released?

The October 7 release adds Ruins of Gorgon’s Hollow and Abyss of New Atlaan. Cheese Station and Crimson Barracks are scheduled for October 14 in that announcement, with further additions dated October 21 and 28. A schedule alone does not prove that an update has been applied. At this check, the cited release notice confirms the October 7 pair. Use the current instance list and a newer release notice before treating the scheduled pair as available in your installed build.

5. What do Medals of Glory and Epic Gear do?

Heroic instances reward Medals of Glory and Epic Gear. The medals are a distinct endgame reward used for high-level items and infusions, with new merchants identified in Navelin and the Valley of Eternal Autumn. The October 1 correction grants 100 medals for the first Heroic dungeon completion, or the next completion if that first one had already happened. This is not a claim that every repeat clear grants the same 100-medal bonus. Read the current reward and owned gear before budgeting an infusion.

6. Do reputation rewards use the same activities?

Call to Glory introduces different faction interests. Pilgrims of Merilam recognize activities, secrets and treasures, including retroactive credit for previously completed discoveries. Riftstalker Sisterhood progression concerns rifts, demons, soulstones and corrupted gift offerings. Keep the faction and the activity visible when checking progress; one generic farming route does not describe both. The update also says more factions will come later. It does not establish a current reputation threshold for every future reward, so those values are not invented here.

7. Have every performance and connection problem been fixed?

No such guarantee follows from the patch notes. The October 1 shader correction still allows stuttering during the first minutes of an initial launch. October 7 adds an FPS limiter whose default follows the highest display refresh rate. Meanwhile, the October 2 notice describes an Asia connection issue beyond character selection as under investigation. These are different problems. Record whether the failure is rendering, character selection or instance play rather than treating a graphics option as proof that a network issue is resolved.

8. Can I rely on an old class or weapon build?

Call to Glory changes hybrid weapon scaling and fixes several interactions. Later corrections address individual weapons and set effects. The October 7 notice still lists Rogue Acidic Splatter not working with a distance finisher as a known issue. Compare a guide with the current tooltip and patch date before committing to that interaction. A build depending on an acknowledged bug is not a reliable recommendation, and this FAQ does not substitute unverified damage rankings for the documented scope of the fixes.

Confirm the build, selected difficulty and reward type before planning a run. Keep a first-completion medal bonus separate from repeat-clear earnings.
