A small interface problem can look like missing progression, while an old achievement may require a different recovery rule. This guide groups the current readability, display and achievement updates into a practical checking sequence, preserving the developer’s stated limits.
- Make the current labels legible first
- Check the window-mode patch in chronological order
- Do not search for the removed size option
- Match an old achievement to the named recovery list
- Separate recoverable progress from a new attempt
- Use the current Shell Shock correction
- Keep platform support and settings distinct
- Identify the game before applying a news item
1. Make the current labels legible first
The September update enlarges text and UI elements and adds zoom to the skill trees. July adds font scale options as part of Deck and UI improvements. Adjust the current display before interpreting a difficult-to-read branch as missing content. Recheck the same upgrade name and requirement afterward. These controls improve inspection; they are not an alternative way to unlock a skill or a promise that every screen has identical scaling on every resolution.

2. Check the window-mode patch in chronological order
Several updates attempt to fix windowed behavior. The May 1.4.1 note explains that a game window matching monitor resolution could be treated like fullscreen and that switching modes could return it to the hardcoded 1920×1080 size. The developer could not reproduce every setup and described the release as an improvement. Use the current version when testing and record what actually happens; the earlier word fixed should not become a universal current guarantee.

3. Do not search for the removed size option
Version 1.4.1 removes the window-size control because it contributed to the issue. An older guide that expects that option may therefore describe a previous interface. Check the current display-mode controls rather than reinstalling solely to restore an intentionally removed setting. The developer says a complete solution for every case would need a larger UI change. That explanation concerns the display system and does not establish that a particular progression branch or purchased skill has disappeared.

4. Match an old achievement to the named recovery list
The June notice names You Monster, Tip of the Spear, Knowledge, Feed the Snail, Deja Vu, Spy Craft, Scorched Earth, Pyrrhic Victory and Greedy in its displayed list. Count the names rather than assuming the summary or a remembered number is exact. The rule is that eligible named achievements unlock on the next launch if the requirements were already met. It is not a free grant for unmet requirements or a blanket promise for every achievement in the game.

5. Separate recoverable progress from a new attempt
The same notice says other achievements lack verifiable historical progress and need to be earned again. Identify the missing achievement before repeatedly restarting or resetting a run. If it is outside the named list, a launch alone is not the documented recovery method. If it is inside, confirm the condition was actually completed. The article does not invent hidden triggers or promise that prestige clears an achievement fault; those claims would require evidence beyond the release notice.

6. Use the current Shell Shock correction
The readability release also repairs Shell Shock so it increases radius correctly. If a recorded example shows no coverage change, check whether it predates that fix before calling the current upgrade useless. Radius, damage and currency are separate effects, so compare the feature the patch actually addresses. The notice contains no numerical radius table or universal optimal sequence. A clear current observation is more useful than projecting an unverified historical value onto the new version.

7. Keep platform support and settings distinct
The developer announces macOS support and Steam Deck verification, and later backports Deck and UI improvements. Check whether a symptom is input, windowing or text size before interpreting it as lack of platform support. A verification announcement is not proof that no bug can occur on every setup. Record the installed version and display configuration along with the step that fails. This lets a report concern the actual interface behavior rather than an unrelated upgrade or achievement.

8. Identify the game before applying a news item
The developer also promotes Mining and Dwarves and a bundle. Those posts describe another game and ownership offers; they do not establish a new mining mode in Click and Conquer. July explicitly describes UI improvements brought back into this title, which can be used as current evidence. Read the named game and the specific change first. For a remaining issue, give that same context in the report so a fix or instruction for a separate application is not mistaken for the answer.

| Symptom | Relevant evidence |
|---|---|
| Small or unclear tree labels | Zoom, text size and font scale |
| Window looks fullscreen | Current 1.4.1 behavior and display resolution |
| Missing achievement | Exact named list and completed requirement |
Identify the exact label, achievement or display behavior first. Match it to a dated update before resetting progress or changing unrelated settings.
