Start by separating the match objective, unit role and current patch. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam supports a large team battle, but not every faction has the same transport tools. This FAQ explains the documented structure and identifies which recent fixes are released and which remain future work.

- Which unit types are available?
- Are transport and spawn tools symmetrical?

1. How large is a match?
The current listing describes one hundred players split into two teams of fifty, with US and NVA factions. The advertised scope is six maps and seventeen roles across six unit types. These are the documented game features, not a promise that every regional server will be full when you connect. Inspect the current server browser and match state before choosing a session. An empty server and a missing role answer different questions about availability.

2. What separates Warfare and Offensive?
Warfare uses five sectors and a control contest that can move back and forth. Offensive gives the two teams attacking and defending responsibilities. Identify the current mode and team objective before judging whether a movement helped. A familiar location does not make the objective identical across modes. The store overview establishes those distinctions without giving one guaranteed opening route or a universal sector sequence for every map and server configuration.

3. Which unit types are available?
Command, Infantry, Recon, Armour, Helicopter and Mortar units divide responsibility. The listing names specialists such as Commander, Squad Leader, Medic, Engineer, Spotter, Tank Commander, Logistics Officer, Observer and Gunner. Choose a role whose contribution you can explain to the unit. The role list is not evidence that all positions are vacant or that a beginner must start with a vehicle. Helicopter units belong to the US faction in the documented roster.

4. Are transport and spawn tools symmetrical?
The US side has helicopters for support and supply movement, while the NVA has a tunnel network. Both sides have patrol boats. Separate those faction tools from the shared goal of maintaining a usable team position. Do not carry a helicopter instruction directly into the other roster or assume a tunnel is the same kind of vehicle. The overview also documents swimming, climbing and movement changes, but it does not establish a safe route through every map.

5. What changed for Medics and Engineers in 1.6?
Patch 1.6 increases available Medic slots from one to two and reduces Rifleman slots from three to two in the described unit composition change. It also makes Level 1 buildables free to place and construct, while upgrades still require supplies. These are released rules. An older guide that reserves supplies for every basic defensive placement can therefore misdescribe the current cost, but a free first level does not remove item or team placement limits.

6. How should I find a server now?
Patch 1.6 changes ordering to prioritize fuller servers and makes filters persist after restart, alongside favourite-server improvements. Inspect your active filters when the list appears unexpectedly short. The developer also discusses reducing official servers to support community population. This is not a guarantee that any particular region or mode will always have an official session. Browser presentation, server population and the rules of a community server remain separate checks.

7. Does Patch 1.6 fix every aiming and crash issue?
The released notes move mounted-gun sensitivity to the ADS setting in the documented paths. Community Feedback 7 then identifies the Huey M60 sensitivity issue as fixed internally but intended for 1.7. That later statement matters when checking the remaining exception. The feedback also reports fewer AMD crashes while investigation continues. Neither statement guarantees that all aiming devices or all AMD systems now behave correctly. Record the specific weapon, setting and version.

8. Which advertised improvements are still planned?
Community Feedback 7 discusses boat-engine behavior, remaining sensitivity work and later interface improvements. Saveable role loadouts and expanded interface or statistics work should not be described as current menu features merely because they appear in a development update. Use the released patch for what exists and the feedback post for known limitations or plans. The current regular US base price is $39.99; a past sale or future feature does not establish a present package guarantee.

| Question | Check this distinction |
|---|---|
| Match objective | Warfare control versus Offensive duties |
| Faction tools | US helicopters versus NVA tunnels |
| Recent feature | Released 1.6 versus intended later work |
Read the active mode, faction and unit before choosing a job. Check the later feedback post when a general patch claim has a named exception.
