Endless has already received several released changes while a larger update remains planned. This guide focuses on the latest known patience rule, computer cameras, starting resources and reporting differences. It helps separate a mode-specific change from a technical problem or a feature that has only been announced.
- Confirm that the Story unlock condition is met
- Use the restored patience rule
- Use the computer cameras for their named purpose
- Separate first-shift resources from purchased quantities
- Read the revised report without missing-field assumptions
- Expect additions without inventing a fixed roster
- Keep lobby and save troubleshooting separate
- Recheck a release before expecting future additions
1. Confirm that the Story unlock condition is met
The official release information says Endless unlocks after completing Story. Check the mode menu against that documented condition rather than treating a later patch headline as an unconditional opening option. Existing Endless updates and the planned major expansion describe different stages of the same mode. The official texts do not establish an alternative unlock code, imported completion file or a requirement to purchase another bundled game.

2. Use the restored patience rule
The earlier balance update removes Endless patience, while September explicitly restores it. That ordering changes how an old strategy should be interpreted. Use the later mode behavior when distributing attention between visitors and other work. The patch does not provide a verified exact timer for every customer or prove that all Story and Endless timings match. Treat current feedback from the game as evidence rather than calculating a guaranteed safe delay from an old no-patience description.

3. Use the computer cameras for their named purpose
September adds security cameras in Endless, accessed through the computer to watch the forest. Keep this tool tied to that documented mode and view. The announcement does not establish complete coverage, automatic identification of every visitor or a camera unlock in every Story shift. Share a relevant observation with the team and retain the ordinary evidence checks rather than claiming the camera replaces all investigation and station work.

4. Separate first-shift resources from purchased quantities
The update places two bear traps and two planks in storage on the first Endless shift, and changes an additional purchase to provide three traps instead of two. Those are different quantities attached to different events. Do not add them together as an unconditional recurring free reward. This guide identifies resource availability without graphic placement instructions or an invented mandatory layout. Check the current storage and purchase prompt before planning around the changed amount.

5. Read the revised report without missing-field assumptions
The same update removes quota, personal-funds and pet fields from the Endless end-of-day report and disables mode emails. A changed report therefore needs a mode-aware comparison. Do not infer that a missing field erased a Story result or that every email system stopped working. Pet purchase is also added to Endless, but the reporting change and purchase feature are distinct facts; an absent report line does not establish that the purchase is unavailable.

6. Expect additions without inventing a fixed roster
August adds fifteen customers to both modes and September adds thirty more. Those announcements explain why older customer coverage may be incomplete. They do not state that one run contains all additions or give a fixed generation order. Continue comparing current identity documents, computer details and behavior. August equalizes product prices to reduce randomness for the true-ending condition, but it does not provide a complete verified ending route in those notes.

7. Keep lobby and save troubleshooting separate
Six-player limits arrive in the July lobby update, while Steam cloud saves arrive in August. A launch emergency beta was a response to a different connection situation. Start by checking the current compatible build, platform pool and host capacity, then identify whether the symptom concerns joining or saved progress. Do not delete progress or switch to a historical branch solely because an older connection post exists. Cloud support cannot guarantee recovery of every conflicting file.

8. Recheck a release before expecting future additions
The current listing advertises a major Endless update for the fourth quarter, and the September developer post describes more future content. These plans do not establish that every announced addition is now available. Use the released patience, camera, storage and report rules for the current session. The guide avoids a fabricated completion guarantee or claim that a bundle introduces a shared mode with another title. A future release needs its own current confirmation.

| Endless question | Current evidence |
|---|---|
| How long can service wait? | Later patience restoration; actual mode feedback |
| What does the computer show? | Released forest camera view |
| Missing field or promised content | Revised report versus future expansion |
Attach each quantity and feature to its mode and event. First-shift resources, purchased amounts and future additions are separate checks.
