Q1. What kind of game is Project Makeover?
A. A match-3 puzzle game by Magic Tavern wrapped in a reality-show style framing. You solve match-3 levels to earn stars; stars are spent on hair, makeup, outfits, and room redecorations for each client. The match-3 is the gameplay; the makeover is the reward.
Q2. How does the life system work?
A. Standard match-3 hearts. You start with five lives; losing a level costs one. Lives refill on a timer or can be requested from friends. Plan around the timer rather than spending real money to refill.
Q3. What are boosters and when should I use them?
A. Boosters (rockets, bombs, paint, etc.) are powerful single-use items. Save them for stuck levels, not for ones you would clear without them. Spending boosters on easy levels is the most common cash sink in any match-3.
Q4. How do I pass tough levels?
A. Read the goal first. Most failures are people who match without checking what the level actually wants (clear color, drop items, fill jars). Plan three or four moves ahead toward the explicit goal, not toward big cascades.
Q5. What if I do not like the makeover choice?
A. The story railroads makeover beats to specific looks. You spend stars on the path the game offers; there is no full creative freedom. The choices that matter are pacing (which client to advance now) rather than visual taste.
Q6. Are there ads?
A. Optional ads for booster rewards and life refills. They are skippable; the game does not gate progress behind required ads.
Q7. Should I spend real money?
A. No, unless you actively enjoy match-3 and want to remove the wait. The free pace is generous as long as you do not burn boosters on easy levels.
Q8. What platforms is it on?
A. iOS and Android. The Magic Tavern team has kept the game updated with regular new clients and seasonal events.
