1Read the goal before you make a single move
Every level has a goal panel: clear color, drop items, fill jars, free trapped pieces. Move toward the goal, not toward the biggest cascade. Big cascades feel good and clear levels with simple goals; they waste moves on levels that demand specific board states.
2Save boosters for the level you cannot pass
Boosters are wasted on levels you would clear in three more attempts anyway. Hold them for the level that has eaten ten lives and you still cannot crack. The free win rate without boosters is already high; their job is bottleneck removal.
3Plan three moves ahead, not one
Match-3 boards reward chained planning. Look for the move whose result sets up the next two matches. Single-move thinking leaves the board worse than it started.
4Treat lives as a tempo resource
The five-life cap exists to pace play. Use all five lives in a session, then come back when the timer refills. Spending gems or money to refill lives compounds quickly; the daily cap is a feature, not an obstacle.
- Matching without reading the goal panel.
- Using boosters on levels you would have cleared.
- Spending money or gems on life refills.
- Chasing pretty cascades instead of goal moves.
- Failing the same level five times in a row without changing approach.
- Read the goal before every level.
- Boosters reserved for true stuck points.
- Use the daily life cap as pacing.
- Plan three moves ahead, toward the goal.
- Step back and rethink after three failures.
