1HQ is the spine; everything else follows
Headquarters upgrades unlock every other building. Treat HQ as the priority every day. When you cannot afford the next HQ, work on whatever building blocks it. Side projects (resource buildings, walls) are filler between HQ steps.
2Focus on one hero team, not all of them
Hero badges are scarce. Pick a combat-focused team of four or five heroes and feed every badge into them. Spreading across ten heroes leaves all of them weak. The development heroes (Hoyt etc.) need separate, smaller investment.
3Pick an active alliance, not a famous one
Server rank means nothing if the alliance is silent. Pick an alliance whose leaders chat daily, who answer questions, and who organize for events. A small active alliance beats a large dead one every time.
4Use shields aggressively, especially overnight
Shields are the difference between waking up to a stable base and waking up to ruins. Use them whenever you log off, during events with PvP, and when you push HQ levels. Free shields are limited; spending some real money on shields is one of the few sane spends.
- Spreading hero badges across ten heroes.
- Joining a high-ranked but inactive alliance.
- Logging off without a shield during war seasons.
- Chasing power inflation with low-tier troops.
- Skipping research; it scales harder than buildings.
- HQ first, every day, until the wall.
- Concentrate badges on four or five core heroes.
- Choose alliances by activity, not rank.
- Shield up overnight and before big events.
- Train high-tier troops, not power-inflating filler.
