1What kind of game is Last Shelter?
A post-apocalyptic 4X mobile MMO by IM30. You build a survivor base, recruit and level heroes, train troops, gather resources, and join an alliance. The long game is competing in cross-server events like Kingdom Expedition and state wars. Plan to play this game for months if you stick with it; the depth is in the long arcs, not in a single session.
2Spend the first week getting HQ to a comfortable mid level
Headquarters upgrades unlock every other building, so HQ is the most important number on your account. In the first week, push HQ as fast as your economy supports, do the daily quests, and focus your speed-ups on HQ steps rather than cosmetic buildings.
3Pick a small hero team and stick with it
Hero badges and skill medals are scarce. Spreading them across ten heroes leaves every hero too weak to matter. Pick a combat team of four or five heroes that complement each other, then feed every combat badge into them. Add development heroes (Hoyt for construction, Anais for diplomacy) separately at lower priority.
4Join an alliance as soon as you can
Solo play is fine until around level 9, but after that, alliance membership is mandatory. Help requests, troop reinforcement, resource sharing, and shared events all flow through an alliance. Pick one based on activity (do leaders chat? do they answer questions?), not just rank.
5Build a working economy before you build an army
Farms, mills, oil pumps, steel plants. The economy decides how big an army you can sustain. Players who skip economy end up with an army they cannot feed; the army then defects and the base collapses. Boring infrastructure first.
6Shields are not optional
Once PvP becomes possible, the difference between a stable base and a wrecked one is whether you shielded. Use peace shields when logging off overnight, during war events, and when pushing risky HQ upgrades. Shields are the cheapest insurance in the game.
7Common beginner mistakes
- Spreading hero badges across many heroes.
- Skipping alliance membership past level 9.
- Building troops faster than the economy can feed them.
- Logging off without a peace shield.
- Chasing power score by training low-tier troops.
- HQ progression is the spine of every day.
- Concentrate hero investment on four or five core heroes.
- Pick an active alliance over a famous one.
- Build the economy before scaling the army.
- Shield up whenever you log off or push hard.
