What you actually do, how the co-op works, the free demo, the fifteen languages and system requirements.
Released version: Version 1.0 launched on 31 July 2026 after Early Access. Checked 26 October 2026.
Comfort setting: The developer provides No Guest Sickness in game settings for players affected by depictions of guests becoming sick. It can be enabled or disabled at any time.

1. Is it still in Early Access?

Waterpark Simulator left Early Access with version 1.0 on 31 July 2026. The first-person management loop combines construction with hands-on service: you sell tickets, handle food, clean, repair attractions and rescue guests before delegating work to employees. The 1.0 release added multiplayer, a Beach map, custom slides, museum quest lines and night operation. This FAQ covers buying and choosing a mode; the linked beginner and staffing guides explain the daily decisions in more detail.

2. Which mode should a new player choose?

Normal is the standard progression experience. Easy changes the workload through cheaper salaries and construction, more starting staff, more patient visitors and higher ticket profits. Sandbox begins with all items and features unlocked, completed research and unlimited money. Hard raises costs, makes visitors less patient and introduces refunds for unhappy guests plus fines for dismissing staff. These choices change the management problem, so decide whether you want progression, a relaxed introduction or unrestricted building before creating the park.

3. Can every mode earn achievements?

The official difficulty announcement explicitly disables achievements in Easy and Sandbox. Normal is therefore the straightforward choice for a first park if earning Steam achievements matters to you. The store lists 71 achievements in the checked snapshot. The difficulty announcement also says existing older saves convert to Normal, while trying another difficulty requires a new game. Keep a creative Sandbox park separate from an achievement project rather than assuming the same save can simply be switched between all four modes.

4. How many people can play together?

The 1.0 launch announcement allows a host plus up to three other players, for four people in online co-op. You can begin a new park together or load an existing park. Optional proximity voice chat is included, and walkie-talkies allow communication when the recipient is holding one. The current Steam listing identifies online co-op; it does not list local split screen. The host can set permissions for construction, demolition, hiring, opening the park and further actions, so a guest may need permission before helping with a particular job.

5. What are the price and PC requirements?

The US base price checked on 26 October 2026 is USD 12.99. A free demo is available through Steam; use it to assess whether first-person service work suits you before buying. The Windows minimum lists 64-bit Windows 10, Core i5-3550, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1050 or Radeon RX 570, DirectX 11 and 20 GB available storage. Recommended graphics rise to GTX 1070 or RX Vega 56, with Core i5-6400 and the same RAM and storage. Regional prices vary; check your own store at checkout.

6. Which comfort and control settings are available?

Version 1.0 introduced No Guest Sickness in game settings, intended to help players affected by depictions of guests becoming sick; it can be toggled at any time. Version 1.0.48 added accessibility options for Staff Quitting and NPC retaliation. Keyboard and mouse bindings can be changed in Settings > Controls, and UI scaling was added after launch. The October Halloween announcement also explains that seasonal events can be disabled under Settings > Accessibility. Review these options before a longer session if the default presentation or physical comedy makes play uncomfortable.

7. What should returning players check?

Later updates added supply shelves, assigning one vendor to multiple stands after research, and staff days off. The 1.0.93 notes place vendor multitasking at two stars. Patch 1.0.119 fixes staff getting stuck or teleporting, incorrect staff activity displays and multiplayer liferings becoming invisible to some players. A returning park can benefit from these management tools without starting a new Beach park, but moving to the Beach map itself requires a new park because layouts are not transferable. This distinction matters more than treating every new feature as a reason to abandon an existing save.
