Surviving the first days when every job is yours, what to build before decorating, and when to stop doing it all yourself.
Released version: Version 1.0 launched on 31 July 2026 after Early Access. Checked 26 October 2026.
Comfort setting: The developer provides No Guest Sickness in game settings for players affected by depictions of guests becoming sick. It can be enabled or disabled at any time.

1. Choose your first park deliberately

Use Normal if you want ordinary progression and achievements. Easy reduces salaries, construction and maintenance costs while giving you more starting staff and more patient visitors; Easy and Sandbox disable achievements. Sandbox is useful for testing building ideas with unlocked research and unlimited funds. The official difficulty announcement says changing to another difficulty requires a new game, so make that decision before investing time in a layout. For a first visit, the free Steam demo can help you judge whether the hands-on work appeals to you.

2. Learn the work before adding more of it

Your early responsibilities include tickets, food service, cleaning, rescuing guests and repairs. The 1.0 notes distinguish a complete attraction breakdown from routine wear: a broken attraction remains out of order until repaired. As practical advice, inspect the tasks currently waiting and solve the immediate service or rescue problem before committing to a long building project. This is a way to organize your attention, rather than a fixed optimal task order. After a busy day, note which job repeatedly pulled you away; that is useful information for your next hire or research choice.

3. Read visitor thoughts before buying a solution

The 0.4 update added Visitor Thoughts under the Park tab on the tablet. Use that view to identify what guests actually lack. Food stands, drinks, seating and attractions address different needs, so adding another stand is only useful when it answers the problem in your park. Since 1.0, benches restore energy for tired guests, including benches outside the gates. A park with a resting problem calls for a different response from one with an empty food stand. Keep this check specific instead of assuming food always gives the best return.

4. Store supplies where staff can use them

The shelves update allows supplies purchased at Caymart to jump onto nearby shelves when dropped close to them. Both you and staff can then use those supplies to restock stands and vending machines. Shelves are researched under the Park tab at the research table. Earlier changes also let restockers collect boxes left on the floor; the later shelf system gives you an organized alternative. As a practical layout choice, put the storage where you can see and replenish it, then check that the supply you need is actually available before blaming the vendor.

5. Build, inspect and name a custom slide

Version 1.0 introduced custom slide construction, and 1.0.63 added renaming after a slide has been built. A useful learning approach is to build something easy to inspect, observe the result, and then make a more complex design once you understand the tools. You can paint walls and slides and adjust the surrounding floor and decoration. The keyboard free camera defaults to F1 and lets you inspect the park from above; H hides the interface. Control rebinding is in Settings > Controls, while the later 1.0.93 update adds a building-camera movement-speed setting.

6. Follow the correct research and quest branch

The 1.0 museum contains three NPCs offering three quest lines, each using its own currency. Aztec, Sea and Pirate themes have research branches using those currencies and end in large slides. Treat those as separate progression paths when an item seems unavailable: check its branch and required currency before spending on unrelated improvements. The 1.0.30 notes also allow staff to complete museum missions and allow all multiplayer participants to complete Wellness missions. You do not need to remove helpful employees just because an older guide assumes the player must personally perform every mission action.

7. Prepare the first shared session

Online play supports a host plus three guests. The host can adjust lobby settings at creation and manage permissions through the ticket-booth computer. Later updates extend restrictions to research-point spending, painting, Caymart purchases and pool plugs for non-hosts. Agree who is building and who is handling service, then enable the actions each person needs. If someone cannot interact as expected, check the permission first. Update 1.0.119 specifically fixes liferings becoming invisible to some multiplayer participants, so keep the installed build current when investigating that symptom.
