What is playable now, how fishing and shop expansion work, and what to check before buying.
Early Access — checked 26 October 2026

The game remains in Early Access. This guide covers released features; announced additions can change. Lightning flashes can be turned off in Settings if they feel too intense, as explained in the developer update linked below.

1. What kind of game is it?

Teddy's Haven is a single-player shopkeeping and exploration game set on Ursa. You gather, grow, craft or trade for goods, sell them in a magical shop, hire stockers and cashiers, and decorate the shop, home and surrounding landscape. The store advertises more than 400 sale items and 250 decorations; these describe the catalogue rather than an opening inventory.

The developer presents Ursa as a peaceful setting without conflict. The practical appeal is choosing between shop work, collecting and building. That description should not be stretched into a claim that every resource is unlimited or that every action has no consequences.

2. Is fishing available or still planned?

Fishing is already released. The Fishing Has Arrived update introduces the Wand of Cozy Waters through the Book of Summoning and describes more than 50 fish, including seasonal varieties and rare mythic fish. Aquariums can hold catches, allowing a collection to become part of the shop design.

A later update adds Mirei in ponds, with seasonal variants and two rare special versions, and Feniks in rivers and lakes with a seasonal life cycle. The separate Fishing 2.0 expansion is still described as development work in Building Toward the Future. The existing fishing feature and that future expansion should be considered separately.

3. How much can the shop be changed?

The Wolforge Expansion adds the Wolforge Hammer. Removing selected interior walls increases shop capacity and lets more shoppers enter through the portal. The same system opens access to the entire second floor. This is a functional change to the shop as well as a decorating option.

Outdoor decks and patios also support market designs, and the developer says shoppers visit those spaces in sun, rain and snow. Expanded painting covers the home, walls, beams, floors, ceilings, roof sections and several building pieces. Product displays can be switched to decoration mode for freely arranged objects and crafting setups.

4. Does it support co-op, controllers and other languages?

The current Steam listing is single-player, with English as its only listed language and full audio support. Steam Cloud, Family Sharing and partial controller support are listed. The Crafting, Creatures, and What Comes Next announcement explicitly says that its update is not multiplayer. A future multiplayer discussion does not make the current build a co-op purchase.

Controller navigation in the Book of Summoning has received improvements, along with revised sensitivity settings. Because support is listed as partial, use the free demo to assess the controls you want to use. The store lists 32 achievements; hidden achievements should be discovered in play rather than treated as a published walkthrough.

5. What is the price, and is DLC required?

The US base price checked on 26 October 2026 is USD 14.99 before regional pricing or temporary promotions. A free demo is listed. Check the live store for your currency, and assess the available game while it remains in Early Access.

Kindred Spirits is an optional decorative pack containing poseable miniature statues of Teddy Bear and Maverick. The developer says the pack does not lock gameplay features or quests behind a purchase. Its statues are found under Book of Summoning > Decorations. A shopkeeping guide does not require that pack.

6. What PC and save features are listed?

Steam lists Windows 10 or higher, a 64-bit processor and operating system, a quad-core Intel or AMD processor at 2.5 GHz or faster, 8 GB RAM, DirectX 11 or 12 graphics with at least 4 GB VRAM, and 10 GB storage. The recommended section only repeats the 64-bit requirement, so it supplies no separate performance target.

The current store describes automatic saving without needing to end the day. Following save-system work, the Happy New Year update directs affected players to backup saves in the Save Slots menu and the recovery directions on the main menu. For an existing save problem, use those built-in recovery options before discarding progress.

7. What changed in the latest announcements?

Crafting, Creatures, and What Comes Next adds the Powderwright, which turns scales into magical powders that can be sold. It also introduces seasonal creature migration, starting with Summer. That is a specific implemented seasonal system, rather than a reason to assume every crop or creature is available in every season.

The most recent announcement, Autumn Magic Is in the Air, describes temporary cashier costumes. Additional seasonal decorations and treats are discussed as coming in later updates. Treat the costumes as temporary presentation and the future additions as plans when deciding what to buy today.
