Car Dealership Simulator 2 FAQ
Current trading systems, vehicle auctions, parking, saving and the Steam purchase details checked on 26 October 2026.
The game remains in Early Access as checked on 26 October 2026. This guide covers the released 0.9.3, 0.9.2, 0.9 and 0.8 changes; future additions mentioned in those announcements are kept separate.
1. What kind of dealership game is this?
Car Dealership Simulator 2 combines a first-person city with buying and selling vehicles. Markets and dealerships provide stock; inspection, repair, exterior customization, washing and listing photographs form the preparation side. Quadfix Games develops and publishes the game. Steam lists single-player support, so plan around running the business yourself rather than interpreting community multiplayer tags as a supported co-op mode.
The current game has more to do than the original buy-repair-sell description suggests. Update 0.9.3 adds multi-round negotiations, simultaneous visiting customers, drifting and near-miss activities. These are separate systems: a driving reward is not the same transaction as selling a car, and a busy forecourt does not make every customer purchase immediately.
2. How do customers and negotiations work now?
Update 0.9.3 says several customers can visit the dealership at once and that the number rises with dealership reputation. Negotiations now have multiple rounds, customer patience, reactions and condition-based discussion of the price. Vehicle deliveries are handled one at a time. This makes customer attendance, bargaining and final delivery distinct stages of the sale.
For a returning player, the useful change is to watch the current customer response instead of repeating a single offer as though the old interaction were unchanged. Inspect the vehicle before setting a price so you know which condition issues may enter the discussion. The developer also fixed negotiation buttons, customers becoming stuck and prices containing periods being read incorrectly in the same update.
3. What is available at the auction?
The 0.9.2 Auction Update introduced a dedicated auction area, a starting price for each offered vehicle and competing bids from other buyers. The highest bidder receives the vehicle. Although the announcement describes classic, special and rare cars as the broader concept, its present-content qualification is specific: only classic cars were offered through the auction system at that update.
Nine vehicles were added with 0.9.2. The earlier 0.9.1 update added four vehicles, and 0.9 added two convertibles. Treat those as counts for their individual patches, rather than a complete current vehicle catalogue. More collectible vehicles were described as future additions; a vehicle mentioned in a plan should not become a reason to buy a particular car today.
4. Can you protect stock and save progress?
Update 0.8 added purchasable indoor parking garages at the second and third dealerships. The developer says vehicles stored inside stay cleaner, providing a concrete use for the property beyond increasing the number of places to park. The fourth dealership gained an additional vehicle entrance. Update 0.9 then added showroom decoration, paint options and floor textures.
Update 0.9.3 adds automatic saving every three minutes and changes the save-folder location. It also fixes purchased vehicles disappearing after loading, and prevents a corrupt save from blocking other working saves. After a major update, check that the expected vehicle and save slot are present before continuing a long buying session. Use the current save location if you maintain a separate backup.
5. What about photographs, languages and PC requirements?
The photo tool lets you position a vehicle, take pictures and attach them to its listing. It is useful for presenting the stock you prepared, but the official description does not give a numerical sale-price bonus or prove that a background changes customer demand. Washing and repair are confirmed tasks; claims that they cost nothing or always return a particular margin go beyond the published information.
The US Steam listing has a USD 14.99 base list price, seven interface languages and 13 achievements at this check. The languages are English, Turkish, French, German, Dutch, Polish and Russian. Windows requirements list 8 GB RAM and 8 GB storage at minimum, with 16 GB RAM recommended. The recommended graphics row says GeForce GTX 2060 6 GB; retain that as the store wording and check compatibility rather than substituting an invented official correction.
