Car Dealership Simulator 2 Beginner Guide

Start with inspection, learn the current negotiation flow, and separate ordinary stock purchases from auction and driving activities.

Early Access

The game remains in Early Access as checked on 26 October 2026. This guide covers the released 0.9.3, 0.9.2, 0.9 and 0.8 changes; future additions mentioned in those announcements are kept separate.

1. Use the first trading loop to learn the interfaces

Begin with the vehicle buying and selling loop that the Early Access description identifies as the foundation of the game. Explore the city to locate markets and dealerships, inspect a candidate, buy it if the terms suit your available money, then prepare and list it for sale. This order is a learning route, not a claim that a particular car is the best starter purchase.

Keep a small record of the purchase price and any preparation costs shown by the game. Once the vehicle sells, compare the completed sale with those costs. That gives you an observation from your own version of the economy. A low asking price alone does not tell you whether damage, planned work or a later negotiation will make the transaction worthwhile.

2. Inspect before committing to preparation work

The official description explicitly connects vehicle examination with pricing decisions. Use inspection to decide what you are buying before choosing repairs or exterior changes. Repairing damage, customizing the exterior and washing a dirty car are supported activities, but they answer different needs. A car can need cleaning without requiring the same spending as a damaged project.

Decide which work you intend to do while looking at the purchase terms. As a budgeting exercise, add the displayed purchase and work costs and compare that total with a sale target you are prepared to accept. Leave room for bargaining. This is a suggested way to organize a trade; it is not a hidden price formula supplied by the developer.

3. Learn one complete negotiation before scaling up

The 0.9.3 customer system introduces multiple rounds, patience and condition-based bargaining. Follow the feedback through a complete sale rather than assuming the first offer is the final result. Customer gestures and reactions are part of the revised interaction, and the camera now turns toward the customer during negotiation.

As reputation grows, more customers may attend at the same time. Deliveries still occur one at a time, so finish the delivery sequence deliberately before treating the next visitor as a completed sale. If you return from an older version, note that stuck customers and negotiation-button issues were addressed in 0.9.3; a walkthrough describing the earlier one-customer flow may no longer match the current screen.

4. Treat the auction as a separate buying lesson

At the auction area, the starting price is the beginning of a bidding process, not a fixed shop price. Other buyers compete, and the highest bid wins the car. The 0.9.2 notes qualify the initial selection as classic cars. Learn the ordinary purchase and sale interfaces first if you want fewer unfamiliar decisions during your first auction visit.

Choose a ceiling before bidding by considering your remaining money and intended preparation work. That ceiling is your own spending rule. A rare-looking vehicle is not automatically a profitable resale, and the official auction announcement gives no guaranteed resale multiple. Compare the final bid with the same cost record you use for market stock.

5. Prepare a listing and understand the new driving rewards

Wash dirty stock, repair the faults you chose to address and make exterior changes only when they fit the trade you planned. Then use the photo system to capture the car and attach images to its listing. This sequence keeps the pictured car consistent with its prepared state. It avoids relying on an unverified claim that any photograph or every modification automatically increases profit.

Update 0.9.3 also lets you earn money from drift chains completed without crashing, paying a cash reward for each 10,000 points. Near misses with traffic can earn XP and money, with consecutive passes increasing a combo multiplier. These are in-game driving activities alongside the dealership. Practice them separately from judging a stock purchase, and check the three-minute autosave introduced in the same update before ending the session.
