Car Dealership Simulator 2 Pricing and Expansion Tips

Plan stock costs, handle reputation-driven customer traffic and compare indoor parking, auction purchases and driving rewards.

Early Access

The game remains in Early Access as checked on 26 October 2026. This guide covers the released 0.9.3, 0.9.2, 0.9 and 0.8 changes; future additions mentioned in those announcements are kept separate.

1. Track the whole transaction rather than the asking price

Buying, inspecting, repairing and selling are all confirmed parts of the dealership loop. A useful working ledger is therefore purchase cost, preparation spending and completed sale proceeds. Include costs shown for the work you actually choose. A photograph belongs to listing preparation, but there is no published numerical bonus that can be added to a profit calculation.

Use completed trades to compare similar vehicles in your own save. Keep asking price separate from the amount agreed after bargaining, because 0.9.3 adds multiple negotiation rounds and condition-based discussion. This makes it possible to identify whether a disappointing result came from paying too much, choosing expensive work or accepting a lower offer without pretending one of those is the only way to lose money.

2. Manage visitors and deliveries as different constraints

Dealership reputation now increases the number of customers that can visit simultaneously. That expands the potential activity on the lot, but the same update states that deliveries are handled one at a time. When several visitors are present, distinguish who is negotiating from the vehicle whose delivery is being completed.

Before expanding, observe which stage is taking your attention: finding stock, preparing it, negotiating or delivering it. This is a management suggestion based on the current systems. It replaces the unsupported blanket rule that a second dealership is always the largest purchase or that faster turnover always beats a higher-margin sale. Your cash and the deals available determine the comparison.

3. Compare indoor parking with cosmetic showroom work

The second and third dealerships can buy indoor garages, introduced in 0.8. Their stated benefit is keeping stored vehicles cleaner. The fourth dealership received an additional entrance, which changes vehicle access rather than providing the same garage feature. Check the property you own before assuming every location offers the identical upgrade.

Showroom decorations, paint choices and floor textures were added in 0.9. They support personalization, while the garage announcement describes a stock-cleanliness use. Keep these purposes separate in your budget. The official notes do not state a fixed reputation or sale-price multiplier for a particular floor or decoration, so judge cosmetic spending by the options and money visible in your current game.

4. Set an auction ceiling and distinguish released stock from plans

The auction uses a listed opening price and competing bids, with the highest bidder taking the vehicle. The 0.9.2 release added nine vehicles and explicitly limited the initial auction selection to classics. Later rare and collectible additions were a plan in that announcement, not an exhaustive list of cars already implemented.

Set a maximum bid before entering a contest and include the preparation you expect to choose. If competition passes that figure, letting another buyer win preserves money for another opportunity. This is a suggested spending discipline, not a claim about scripted auction opponents or a known best bid. The published notes do not expose opponent limits, resale values or a universal discount to target.

5. Keep driving income separate and revisit assumptions after patches

The 0.9.3 drift system rewards angle, combos, wall proximity, 360-degree spins and aggressive entries. A chain completed without crashing pays money for every 10,000 points. A Drift Kit and personal record tracking were added. The developer recommends turning off TCS and using manual transmission for drifting, so evaluate that setup within the driving activity rather than changing your trading assumptions.

Near-miss passes award XP and money and allow a consecutive-pass multiplier. Meanwhile the update changes customer interaction, saving and performance with many vehicles active. Record which version produced your results, check the current condition and offer before buying again, and use the three-minute autosave and working save slots. The game remains Early Access on 26 October 2026; the current systems give better planning information than a promise about future balance.
