The developer warns that flashing lights may be unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. An option to disable flashy explosion effects is available, but the developer has not described it as removing the warning or making the game safe for photosensitive players.

1 Multiplicative beats additive
The developer encourages combinations, but this does not establish the damage formula for every weapon.
Compare the actual stat gain and the weapon cap before choosing a percentage or flat increase. The official patch notes describe capped values and revised balance, so no universal multiplier rule replaces the actual item description.
When offered a choice, ask which option makes your existing upgrades better rather than which has the bigger number printed on it.
2 Review your build as the shop changes
The normal objective is to survive 21 Days before continuing into Endless. The table is a suggested review routine; it is not a documented threshold where an unfocused build becomes unusable.
| Phase | Priority |
|---|---|
| Days 1 to 5 | Stay alive and notice what the offers are pushing you toward |
| Days 6 to 14 | Compare offers with the current ship and any weaknesses |
| Days 15 to 21 | Cover the one weakness that is about to kill you, then keep stacking |
| Endless | Review capped values, survivability and available upgrades |
3 Movement is a damage stat
In a bullet hell, a ship that survives longer fires longer. Movement and survivability upgrades therefore translate directly into damage dealt over a run, even though nothing on them says so.
This is especially true here because you also need to reach cofferoids to mine them. A slow ship is a poor miner and a poor dodger at the same time, which is a worse combination than being merely underpowered.
4 Learn one enemy per run
Story mode has 25 zones, while Endless Coffee adds its own enemies. Learning one troublesome pattern at a time is a practical approach. Pick the enemy that killed you last time and spend the next run watching specifically what it does.
Bullet patterns in this genre are almost always readable once you have seen them from a safe distance. Use a failed attempt to identify the pattern or visibility problem rather than assuming one explanation for every defeat.
5 Unlocking the nine ships in a sensible order
New skills unlock by levelling up and by winning with each ship, which means a completed run is worth far more than several abandoned ones.
Keeping one ship for several attempts can make comparisons easier. Trying another is also reasonable; winning is an unlock condition, not a requirement to postpone every other ship.
6 Screen readability and the flashing lights
The store carries a warning that the game contains flashing lights which may make it unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. Take that at face value before buying.
Even without a medical concern, readability becomes a practical problem late in a strong run, when your own effects fill the screen. Two settings help: camera comfort, which is listed on the store page, and the custom volume controls if audio cues are being drowned out. Reducing your own visual noise where the game allows it is a performance improvement, not a compromise.
7 The 43 achievements
The current store API lists 43 achievements and Stats support. Check the current list and the patch-specific counter fixes below.
The natural order is to complete story mode first, since its 25 zones and bosses supply a large chunk of the list on the way through, then use Endless Coffee for the ship specific and distance based entries. Separate the objective described by each achievement from optional personal challenges.
8 Mistakes that end promising runs
| Mistake | Fix |
|---|---|
| Taking a bit of everything | Review the current shop offers rather than a fixed day deadline |
| Finishing a rock while bullets close in | Mine on the move and leave with a partial haul |
| Ignoring survivability because it is boring | Compare survival needs with current weapon performance |
| Rotating ships after every loss | Win once with the current ship first, since wins unlock skills |
| Retrying a boss wall on the same build | Bank upgrades in an earlier zone and come back stronger |
Weapon caps, rerolls and completion checks
Patch 3 adds a visible indicator when a weapon statistic reaches its cap. Inspect that indicator before spending on the same attribute again: a larger advertised percentage is not automatically useful once the affected value is capped. The corrected maximum Critical Chance display is 90%.
That patch also caps maximum damage to prevent numerical overflow from making attacks heal enemies. Treat old examples of unlimited damage scaling as historical demonstrations, not a current target. It changes the special late-game day as well, including disabling Parry there; the ordinary encounter plan does not automatically cover it.
Patch 2 displays rarity probabilities when hovering over the Reroll button. Read those probabilities before choosing to reroll instead of assuming that Luck guarantees the next rarity. The announcement does not supply one universal best reroll schedule for every ship.
Thunder combinations changed in Patch 1: minimum cooldown became 1.0 second, cooldown reduction per enemy hit became 0.01 second, and extra Thunders no longer create additional extra Thunders. Beach Ball Explodes on Hit changed to 20%. Those are dated patch values, useful for identifying obsolete builds; confirm the current in-game description when choosing an upgrade.
For achievement cleanup, Patch 1 removed the Speedrun and Deathless-run achievements, and Patch 3 makes deaths in Endless Coffee count toward Number of Deaths. Check the current achievement description and installed update before repeating a run to compensate for an older counter bug.
If late-run effects obscure enemies or slow the game, disable Show Damage Numbers as recommended in Patch 3 and consider the explosion-flash option added with Endless Coffee. These are separate settings with different purposes. Neither should be read as cancelling the developer photosensitivity warning.

Compare upgrades with your actual ship, weapon caps and remaining weaknesses throughout the 21 Day objective. Movement and survivability convert into damage because a living ship keeps firing and keeps mining. Learn one enemy pattern per run, finish a run with your current ship before unlocking the next, and reduce your own visual noise late in a strong build. Use the current achievement descriptions and note the removal of the two older challenge achievements.
