1 What kind of game is it
The store describes it in terms of two other games: the bullet heaven barrage of Vampire Survivors combined with the gear driven progression of Diablo. That is an unusually precise pitch, and it tells you most of what you need.
You play an employee of the Reincarnation Insurance Program in a world overrun by corrosion viruses and zombies. Waves arrive constantly, from shambling walkers to fast mutants, and the stated answer is overwhelming firepower rather than cover or positioning.
2 It is in Early Access
Early Access appears in the genre list next to Action, Adventure and Casual. The store text refers repeatedly to the current version, which is an honest way of saying the content list is not final.
Buy it for what is in the build today. The classic survivor style rogue mode and the Void Spire mode both exist now, and those are what the current price covers.
3 The loot layer
This is where it separates itself from most games in the horde survivor genre. Rather than only picking upgrades during a run, you collect equipment that persists as inventory.
| System | What the store says it does |
|---|---|
| Weapons and tactical gear | Hundreds of pieces scavenged from the ruins |
| Golden beams | Mark legendary drops, which carry game changing affixes |
| Recasting | Company artisans reroll the stats on gear you already own |
| Legend Contracts | Drop in battle and grant unique set bonuses |
| Historical spirits | Summoned for buffs, stacked with passive blessings and active skills |
If you have played an action role playing game with affixes and set bonuses, that vocabulary maps directly. The difference is that the combat around it is a horde shooter rather than a dungeon crawl.
4 Void Spire and what happens after a run
Two things carry between runs, and they answer the usual question about whether failure wastes your time.
The Spire exists for the point at which your equipment is finished and the campaign no longer challenges it. Every floor is described as offering better loot and unlimited upgrades, so it is a deliberate endgame grind rather than a side mode.
5 Is there multiplayer
No. The category list is single player only. There is no cooperative mode, no online play and no shared progression with other players.
Steam Trading Cards, Steam Cloud saves, Family Sharing and partial controller support are all listed. Partial rather than full controller support is worth checking early if you intend to play on a pad.
6 Violence and content rating
The store carries a content note, and it is specific enough to quote rather than summarise loosely. It states that players take the role of a survivor fighting infected zombies, and that the game depicts gun violence, explosions, and blood and dismemberment upon enemy death.
There is no sexual content descriptor and the required age field is zero. If graphic violence against zombie enemies is a problem for you or for someone sharing the machine, that note is the thing to read before buying.

8 The requirements are high for the genre
Nothing here is a typing error, but the numbers are worth pointing out because they are heavier than most top down shooters ask for.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 7 2700X | Core i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3700X |
| Memory | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Graphics | GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5700 | GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT |
| Storage | 12 GB | 12 GB |
A minimum specification asking for 16 GB of memory and a GTX 1070 is a real signal rather than a formality. Screen filling hordes with elemental effects layered over them is a genuinely heavy thing to draw, so treat the minimum as a minimum.
An Early Access top down roguelite shooter that puts Diablo style loot under a Vampire Survivors style horde. Single player only, USD 14.99, 51 achievements, seven languages, partial controller support. Gear persists and can be recast, Legend Contracts grant set bonuses, Contribution Points survive failure, and the Void Spire is an endless tower for finished builds. The content note describes gun violence, explosions, and blood and dismemberment, and the minimum requirements of 16 GB and a GTX 1070 are high for the genre.
